Currently based in the Chicago metropolitan area, Thomas Wilder (b. 1996) is an artist working in photography and site specific installation. Drawing from the fields of phenomenology, semiotics, and philosophy of language, he works with the everyday, questioning our economies of attention, the limitations of perception, and the photographic image. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Wheaton College, IL, and an MFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI, where he received the T.C. Colley Award for Photographic Excellence.
